Masquerading
Life
Like a flame
in darkness you shine,
Like breeze in solitary you are a companion of mine.
Like a hand
of blessing you comfort,
Like a mother’s unseen love you are covert.
Sometimes a
baby’s innocent laughter,
And sometimes a bride’s amorous falter,
Sometimes a
stranger’s unexpected sweet smile,
And sometimes a brazen hand fighting against
vile.
With thousand
faces you startle me each day,
Providing myriad reasons you compel me to say
That none can
defeat your sovereign beauty,
Oh life, I admit, you are really pretty…
My Granny, hearing
me say this, held my hand and said it to me
Oh dear, life
is a big ball of illusion, standing here its only one side that you see.
Come let’s
dwindle the diameter and discover what the other side holds.
Come today
let’s unveil what life has behind its mysterious folds.
See there an
orphan cry and a disabled questioning his existence why.
See the
devastated youth weeping with the rubble of his desire,
See the exanimate
widow standing still while her love meets the fire.
Even the prettiest
flower withers and the sweetest sound alters.
The bests of
times pass off slowly, thus this masquerading beauty does not make life lovely.
Yes it’s
beautiful because though hurting at times it can soothe all with morsel of love,
Though
destroying your raison d'etre, it gifts you with other opportunities to rove.
Snatching
your strength it will teach you to trudge fore,
Shaking your
robust faith it will teach you to trust once more.
With the
sequential silence hurricanes and rains,
Its changing
attires would teach you withstand pains.
Like the moon
though scarred holds the greatest potentials of beauty.
Life strengthens you with its dark dunes and proves it is really pretty.
it is as pretty as life.. short and informative.. u tried to put in a lot in those few lines.. it's beautifully constructed.. :)
