The Kejriwal Mania...

After the ‘Anna Hajare’ mania, ‘Madhuri Dixit’ mania, ‘Tendulkar’ mania after a brief silence of few months it was time for a new mania to pop up in India. This time ‘Kejriwal’ was the man of the epidemic. I too was an easy prey to this new epidemic in the town. The ‘Aam Adami’ in me was all set to support Kejriwal, seeing in him the power of a common man. Finally our support took him to the throne hoping he was the change the country desperately waited for.
We supported him thinking after sixty four years of independence finally we have a clean man who would change the messy politics. His lion roar at oath taking ceremony further strengthened our hopes. Then he started his tenure first with free water and electricity, then with janta darbaar, then asking for resignation of cops, then supporting Bharti, and then coming up with something as stupid as Dharna.
Day then two, he kept losing the confidence we had in him. In him India saw a man who promised an organized, reliable and responsible government. Mr. Kejriwal when we supported you, we were already tired of petty politics, all we wanted from you was good governance!  Free electricity, Free food, Free wages, Free admission in eminent educational institutions- if this was all an aam admi wanted, then congress, BJP, BSP were no bad options for us. We are tired of hopeless ‘nautanki’ that politicians do. The existing politicians did it in parliament, you do it on roads; they abused others without mikes in assembly houses and you do that with mikes in your dharnas. They dismiss parliament sessions and you do even worse by asking people to leave their work and support your dharna. Work Absenteeism is already matter of concern for a developing country like us, you further contribute in decreasing our productivity by calling off thousands of your supporters for the petty darna nautanki. And you are okay with it even if it means- blocked roads, closed metros, mismanagement, diversion of entire police force towards the cause and shut down of government works in Delhi!
Sorry Mr. Kejriwal if this is all you came in politics for, you probably failed to understand India’s Aam Adami.
We don’t crave for favors or freebies. We only want good governance, intelligent rulers and little less of ‘nautanki’. I hope you understand Aam Admi’s perspective soon before claiming of being their representative.
